
To setup an email account address in out look express first open the program.
Press the start button outlook express should be on the start up menu.
If for some reason it is not there go to all programs
and you will find it there.
Double click the outlook express to open the program.
You may at this stage get some message about pop servers.
If you do just close down these messages.
Next click on toolon the menu bar at the top.
Next click onaccounts
Next click on the mail tab
Next click on the add button on the right hand side
Then click on mail from the small menu that appears to the right.

Type in a display name. This is not your email address just a name people will see when you send them an email. For example john smith.
Click next
On the next screen type on your email address. very important you must type in your email address exactly how it was given to you by your ISP.
For example you must put all the dots in exactly the right places. Click next
Next you will have to put in your pop servers these consist of two servers.
One pop3 server and one SMTP server.

These servers are owned by your ISP.
If you do not know the address of your pop servers you can get them off your ISP.
HERE IS A LIST OF SOME POP SERVER
The pop3 server send emails from your ISP to your computer and the SMTP server takes emails from your computer and delivers them to the email address stated.
Once you have typed in your pop servers click next.
On the next screen you will put in your account name and your password. These should be supplied by your ISP.
Click next then click finish.
Thats it you have set up your email account in outlook express.
Just a few things to look for while setting up emails in outlook express .
Some ISP demand that you log on to your email pop servers using authentication.
If your ISP is one of these you will find the settings as follows.
Click tool,
Click accounts,
Click the mail tab at the top,
if you have more than one email address then chose the correct one, then click the properties button.
Now click the servers tab at the top.
You will find both these settings on this page.

If required place a tick in the correct boxes.
