Have noticed that when you type a search into a Google search box you see a list of previously searched for words.
These earlier searches are actually saved by your web browser not google through a feature called "AutoComplete".
AutoComplete is used by most major Web browsers, including Internet Explorer and Firefox. They are designed to help users in filling out web forms and performing web searches.
With the AutoComplete turned on, the browser keeps track of information that you’ve recently typed and attempts to anticipate what you are typing and offers possible matches.
So as you start typing in a Google search box a dropdown list of previosuly searched words will appear.
For better protection of your privacy while using the internet you should delete these previous searches.
Google also keeps you previously searched for words and terms which you should also clear out for your safety on while using the internet.
To manually delete your saved Google searches (AutoComplete history), you can perform the following steps:
The Google toolbar saves all the terms and words you have searched for. This is to aid you by perdicting what you want while you type for a search query with the google toolbar. Unfortunately this has caused many privacy concerns for us internet users. This Not only permit Google to collect personal and private data about those using the Google toolbar, but anyone with access to that computer can easily see the history. Fortunately for those of us with privacy concerns Goolge toolbar search history can be deleted
Iam also going to show you how to turn this feature off so google search does not keep your history.
Click on your google search box dropdown arrow as shown below and click Clear History.
